SCott Stalker
Ten-plus years of coaching and training experience. From running airborne rappelling courses in the Army to coaching hundreds of people through CrossFit and strength sport - I've spent a long time learning what actually works.
My job in the clinic is simple: give you the tools you need, then get out of your way. Whether the problem is straightforward or complicated, I'll help you get back to work, life, and whatever matters outside these four walls.
I take strength and endurance training seriously. Not because I'm obsessed with performance, but because I believe that with discipline, self-awareness, and a patient approach to incremental progress, most people can get to where they want to be — without constantly breaking down along the way.
A few things worth knowing:
Most of what I know came from a handful of great books and a lot of time learning from people who are genuinely world-class at what they do.
I don't chase novelty. I look for what resonates with each person, find the best version of that, and build from there.
These days you won't see as much of me in the clinic - I'm usually in the background working on growing By Design into the best physio clinic in Tasmania. That's where my focus is.
I don't run on rigid routines, but I do protect at least 60 minutes a day for myself. Not negotiable. If I skip it, I know exactly where that leads.
And my personal standard: stay injury-free, stay out of pain. Health and fitness should improve your quality of life, not leave you sore and broken.
