Scott is determined to give you the tools in the clinic,  to get you back to work, life, and play outside of it.  Simple or complex, his knowledge and passion for exercise as an art and science will get you where you need to be!

Scott has over 10 years of coaching and personal training experience. From instructing airborne repelling courses in the Army to coaching hundreds of people in Crossfit & strength-based sports.

Scott takes an extremely diligent approach to strength and endurance training, believing that you can achieve anything with discipline and a patient, self-aware attitude towards incremental growth and staying injury free.

Scott has learnt almost everything he knows from a few great books and endless hours of learning from the world’s experts in their chosen field.

Scott is obsessed with finding inspiration for each aspect of your training that you find aligns with your ideas, and then emulating the aspects that resonate.

Scott is extremely business focused. At By Design, you very rarely hear or see him but he is usually stashed away in the back room (which will soon have tube kicked out of), busy in the background growing By Design into the best Physiotherapy clinic in Tasmania.

Scott doesn’t rely on set routines as “you can become too reliant on them” but knows that he must prioritise himself for 60 minutes at some point in the day, because if “I don't, I know I’m predictably moving away from where I want to be.

Scott takes great pride in being injury and pain-free, “the point of health and fitness is to increase the quality of life, not to be sore and injured.”
